Set in 1918, Princess Diana grows up on the Amazon island of Themyscira. American pilot Steve Trevor crashes offshore of the island and is rescued by Diana. After he tells Diana about World War I, she leaves her home in order to end the war.

It&#39;s just plain old boring. 2 hours of talking, 9 minutes of action with bad cgi. Predictable dialogue, predictable story, cringe-worthy &quot;jokes&quot; about penises. How this got an 8.4 rating I do not know. Best Super-Hero movie of the year? Doubtful, Logan is a much better movie than this.<br/><br/>Save your time and watch Risky Business featuring Tom Cruise instead.
Wonder Woman (2017):<br/><br/>Despite her status as a central member of the DC Trinity, Diana Prince/Wonder Woman is least popular in my gang back when I was a kid.I never expected a live screen version of Wonder Woman as I never cared about he role in Justice League.But my opinion entirely changed only because of Gal Gadot.Most of us will remember Gadot&#39;s scene-stealing appearance in the unfortunate Justice League prelude, Dawn of Justice.Standing firm against the DCEU&#39;s recent critical misfires, as well as the inherent risk of making a Wonder Woman standalone movie,fortunately Wonder Woman did a pretty good job.<br/><br/>Plot:<br/><br/>A young and wide-eyed Diana Prince lives in seclusion with Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielson), General Antiope (Robin Wright) and the rest of the Amazons of Themyscira, hidden away from the vengeful eye of Ares – the God of Conflict. However, one day an American spy named Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) crash lands in the waters off the shore of Paradise Island and informs the Amazons of the horrors of The Great War, and the distinct possibility that those horrors may one day reach Themyscira itself. Suspecting Ares as the cause of World War I, Diana joins Steve on a journey to the front to face off against the maniacal General Ludendorff (Danny Huston) and the brilliant yet sadistic Doctor Poison (Elena Anaya) before they can unleash a new chemical weapon that will embroil the entire planet in endless war.<br/><br/>Plus Points:<br/><br/>1)Gal Gadot: Even now I wouldn&#39;t care about Wonder Woman if not for Gal Gadot.She is one of the most sexiest and cutest actress I have seen in recent times. Although the Israeli actress already proved herself as a scene-stealer in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman allows her to deliver a far more complex and nuanced performance. Gadot shows a surprising level of deftness with the film&#39;s comedic moments and the battle scenes continue to show her as one of the most capable female action stars working today. She throws herself into the fight scenes, and the sheer amount of physicality on display in this film is far more than anyone could ever demand from a live-action Diana Prince. Gal Gadot IS Wonder Woman and we would definitely expect DC to make a lot of movies with her.<br/><br/>2)Music: Wonder Woman&#39;s another best part is its kick-ass theme music composed by Hans Zimmer.It is one of the best theme musics and its my current ringtone now.<br/><br/>3)Screenplay: Wonder Woman&#39;s screenplay may not have nothing special but Gal Gadot and Chris Pine&#39;s combo along with few light heart moments and some kick-ass action sequences,Wonder Woman is highly entertaining.<br/><br/>4)Chris Pine: Chris Pine delivered a mesmerizing performance as Steve Trevor with enough action,humor and innocence.<br/><br/>Minus Points:<br/><br/>1)Cliched Plot: Except with the use of war backdrop,Wonder Woman has clichéd super hero plot.There will be no surprises and mostly a popcorn entertainment.<br/><br/>2)Lengthy Climax: The film&#39;s climax is yet another bloated CGI spectacle, and the film&#39;s central antagonist is almost entirely forgettable when compared to the charm and emotional depth of its heroes.Weak Villain is another con for this film.<br/><br/>So,Wonder Woman is a must watch for Gal Gadot&#39;s stunning performance and action.<br/><br/>My rating 7.5/10
Wonder Woman is a gorgeous, powerful display of epic storytelling that makes me wish this was Gadot’s first chance to play Diana Prince. It’s the roaring introduction she deserves, and a hopeful shift in DC culture that hints at what’s about to come.

Superman: Dawn of Justice and seeing the previously released film does not give any major insight into the story or characters of Wonder Woman. However, this film does begin and end with a framing scene set in modern day, where Diana Prince, the secret identity of Wonder Woman, receives the original glass photo plate of the photograph she took during World War I, which leads into the flashback of the rest of the film. This ties into Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice from a scene where Bruce Wayne discovers a digital copy of the photo which lead to him learning that Diana Prince was Wonder Woman. It&#39;s possible to answer this question by comparing the pieces of evidence made available by the film. First, because Diana is the only child on the island, we can assume that Diana&#39;s and Themyscira&#39;s ages are one and the same. We have no way of knowing how old Diana is in this story, so it makes the most sense to tie her chronological age to Gal Gadot, who was 32 when this movie was released. Second, Greek Mythology&#39;s tradition dates back to the 9th century BC, although historians theorize that those written traditions are recording oral history that dates as far back as the 12th century BC. Therefore, by comparing those two time spans, we can postulate that for every year that passes on the island of Themyscira, about 100 years have passed in the world of Man. This estimate of time ratio ( or rather ageing ratio ) is supported by Diana seeming to be almost the same age in the present day, as she was during WW1. No, nothing that happens at the end of Wonder Woman indicates that World War II would no longer happen within the DC Extended Universe movies. This question comes up because Ares, the god of war, is killed by Wonder Woman at the end of the film which leads some viewers to think this means war will never break out among humans again, preventing World War II and any others. However, when Ares reveals his true identity to Wonder Woman he explains that he does not create the desire in humans to start war but that they already have it in them. Ares simply sees the wars that humans make on their own and pushes them along so that it feeds his power. So the death of Ares in this film does not mean that humans would no longer engage in war. A hundred years later, we see in Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad that the nations of the world still have militaries. Also, in a real life historical context, World War II began as a direct result of the sociopolitical climate in Germany after the First World War. Wonder Woman helps to end the First World War, but does not have any part on those larger historical factors which cause Hilter&#39;s later rise to power.
